Project: Brand Identity Design, Website Design, SEO, Business Cards

OVERVIEW

I partnered with Joe Hull, owner of 214 Removal, to improve the online presence of his air duct cleaning business based in Northeastern Pennsylvania. After reviewing his existing website, I identified several opportunities to improve layout, SEO, user engagement, and branding consistency.

Website Redesign & Optimization

The original website, built on GoDaddy, lacked essential content and structure for SEO. Since Joe had already paid for his hosting plan, I worked within the GoDaddy platform to completely redesign the site. The new layout clearly outlines each of 214 Removal’s core services—including air duct cleaning, mold treatment, dryer vent cleaning, and deodorizing treatment—with detailed benefit-driven content on every page.

I also added a custom free estimate form, encouraging more inquiries by streamlining the contact process. Clear calls to action (CTAs), improved service descriptions, and geo-targeted content help the site rank better in search results and convert more visitors into customers.

Local SEO & GBP Alignment

During the project, I helped optimize how 214 Removal is represented on Google Business Profile (GBP) to ensure the correct business category was selected and that the new website properly supported local SEO efforts. Location-based content was added to improve visibility in search engines, including Scranton, Dickson City, Clarks Summit, and Wilkes-Barre.

Branding Refresh

Joe’s existing logo had strong elements, but it lacked flexibility and clarity in certain uses. I refined the logo to balance the icon and text, then digitized it to create multiple color versions suitable for different background colors. For example, the logo was difficult to read on his black business card, so I redesigned the card to increase legibility, include updated contact info, simplify typeface variety, and add a QR code linking directly to the free estimate page of the website.

  • SEO-rich copywriting for each service and location

Results

The new site now accurately reflects the professionalism and thorough service Joe and his family team provide. It’s easier to navigate, informative for potential customers, and more likely to be found through local searches. With a stronger brand presence and conversion-focused design, 214 Removal is positioned to grow their customer base across NEPA.
