Turning Confusion into Qualified Leads
Sometimes a website doesn't need to be rebuilt from scratch, it needs to be reorganized around the people who actually use it.
That was the case with Eat and Thrive Now, a growing nutrition counseling practice with multiple registered dietitians, specialized services, expanding locations, and insurance-based care. Their existing WordPress website contained valuable information, but it had become difficult for prospective patients to understand who they should work with, what services were offered, where appointments were available, and how to get started.
The goal of this redesign wasn't simply to modernize the website, it was to make it easier for the right people to become patients.
Platform
Before & After
Building a Website Around the Patient Experience
One of the biggest opportunities was improving the way information was organized. New visitors often have very specific questions before scheduling care:
Does this practice treat my condition?
Which dietitian is the best fit for me?
Is my insurance accepted?
Is telehealth available in my state?
Which office location offers the services I need?
How do I schedule an appointment?
Instead of making visitors search through multiple pages or contact the office for basic information, the updated website answers those questions up front.
New pages and expanded content were added throughout the site, including:
Detailed service descriptions
Dietitian specialties and provider biographies
Location-specific information
Insurance verification resources
Updated FAQ and payment information
A dedicated page for referring healthcare providers
Clear pathways for scheduling a free consultation
The result is a website that educates prospective patients before they ever pick up the phone.
Creating Clear Calls to Action
One of the biggest improvements was simplifying the process of becoming a patient.
Rather than directing everyone to a generic contact form, the redesigned website now guides visitors based on where they are in the process. Prospective patients can request a free 15-minute consultation, verify their insurance coverage online, or learn exactly what to expect before their first appointment.
Current patients have their own appointment scheduling process, while healthcare providers have a dedicated referral page designed specifically for their needs.
Every page now has a clear purpose and a clear next step.
Better Information Means Better Leads
One of the biggest problems before the redesign wasn't a lack of inquiries, it was the quality of those inquiries.
The previous website received a high volume of spam form submissions, making it difficult for the practice to identify legitimate prospective patients.
As part of the website update, I implemented additional security measures within the existing WordPress website to reduce automated spam submissions while maintaining an easy experience for real users.
The impact was immediate.
Following launch, spam submissions stopped, allowing legitimate patient inquiries to come through without getting buried by unwanted messages.
Helping Patients Find the Right Dietitian
Eat and Thrive Now has multiple registered dietitians with different specialties and areas of expertise.
The redesigned website now clearly communicates:
Which dietitian specializes in specific conditions
Which services are offered at each location
Telehealth availability by state
Insurance and payment information
How to begin care
This added clarity helps prospective patients feel confident they're contacting the right provider before ever submitting a form.
A Website That Reflects the Practice Today
As businesses grow, their websites often struggle to keep up.
Eat and Thrive Now has expanded its services, locations, providers, and specialties over time. The new website now accurately reflects everything the practice offers while making information easier to navigate for patients, caregivers, and referring providers alike.
Instead of simply looking more modern, the website now works harder for the business; educating visitors, answering common questions, reducing friction, and generating qualified leads.
That's what a strategic website should do.
At Kat Fox Design, every website is built with a purpose. Beautiful design matters, but the real measure of success is whether your website helps the right people find you, trust you, and take the next step.
For Eat and Thrive Now, that next step became much clearer—and the results followed almost immediately.
