OVERVIEW
Scranton Counseling Center (SCC), a long-standing community mental health organization in Northeastern Pennsylvania, needed a complete website redesign to better serve both consumers and supporters. Their existing site had become bulky and difficult to navigate, making it hard for users to find crucial information—especially those seeking immediate help.
The goal was to create a user-centered experience that reflected SCC’s mission of hope and accessibility while streamlining content for clarity and ease of use.
Approach
The redesign focused on four key objectives:
User-Friendly Navigation: Reorganized the site architecture to make each service area easy to find, including adult, child, and community programs.
Accessibility for Urgent Care: Made the Crisis Receiving & Stabilization Unit (CRSU) highly visible for individuals seeking immediate mental health support, with clear call-to-action buttons and emergency contact info available across the site.
Streamlined Communication: Introduced a custom, low-stress contact form to make it easier for users to connect with the right SCC department quickly.
Search Optimization & Engagement: Fully optimized for SEO to improve local visibility and added a donation pathway to encourage community support and engagement.
The Result
The new SCC website generated its first solid client lead form submission—just three hours after going live. The simplified layout, improved accessibility, and user-focused content have made it easier for visitors to find services, get help, and engage with the organization.
The new site not only elevates SCC’s online presence but also strengthens its mission: connecting people to the care and resources they need, faster and with less stress.
